Ben Perry
Senior Managing Partner
Ben is responsible for the initial financial analysis, sourcing and closing of construction and permanent debt and equity for new and existing projects, lender and investor reporting, operational management of existing projects and new project development.
Ben has been instrumental in securing construction and permanent financing for East 54 as well as sourcing debt and equity for newer projects under design and construction. He is creative in his approach to the financial structure for an individual project’s needs and has strong analytical skills assessing the viability of new projects.
A UNC graduate with undergraduate degrees in Economics and Romance Languages, Ben spent three years with Gemini Real Estate Advisors in New York and Charlotte where he worked on $300 million of commercial property acquisitions and development. While beginning his career in a junior financial analyst roll at Gemini, Ben spent his last year and a half with the company overseeing the acquisition process from valuation and contract negotiations through due diligence, debt and equity financing and closing.
Ben is past President of the Orange County Unit of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Eastern Piedmont and is presently involved in the capital campaign to build new a Club in Chapel Hill. Ben also serves on the The Habitat for Humanity of Orange County Advisory Board.
Ben lives in Durham with his wife Ashley and their three children.
