McKay Siegel
Junior Partner
McKay joined East West Partners in 2018, one week after receiving his Masters’ degree from Texas A&M. He began his EWP tenure as assistant project manager for River Place, the mixed-use public/private waterfront project in Wilmington. Quickly demonstrating his capacity to lead complicated projects, McKay focused on EWP’s renovation of a circa-1900 relic, transforming it from an abandoned but significant historic building in the heart of downtown Wilmington, into a thoroughly contemporary, hospitable and class-A co-working office space.
McKay began his real estate career as a project manager on custom homes and small commercial projects and soon gained an appreciation for real estate development’s ability to enrich peoples’ lives. In rapid fashion, McKay earned his Masters’ degree in Land and Property Development through the College of Architecture and his Texas real estate license and began brokering commercial properties in every sector, from both sides of the table. In less than a year, he brokered $1M in commercial real estate deals and completed the reconstruction of a $1.5M apartment building, while completing his graduate studies.
McKay paid for his undergraduate degree by bartending, developing his innate good humor and customer-facing skills that nicely enhance his gifted ability for project management.
Having grown up fishing and surfing on the Texas Gulf Coast, McKay now delights in Wilmington’s coastal lifestyle. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute as well as Wilmington Downtown Inc.’s Dream Committee, and together with his wife, teaches Sunday school to Kindergartners at Lifepoint Church.
