East West Partners Team Member McKay

McKay Siegel

Partner

McKay joined East West Partners in 2018, one week after receiving his Masters’ degree from Texas A&M. He began his EWP tenure as assistant project manager for River Place, the mixed-use public/private waterfront project in Wilmington. Quickly demonstrating his capacity to lead complicated projects, McKay focused on EWP’s renovation of a circa-1900 relic, transforming it from an abandoned but significant historic building in the heart of downtown Wilmington, into a thoroughly contemporary, hospitable and class-A co-working office space.

Since assuming the role of Junior Partner in 2022 and Partner in 2023, McKay has led the $90m Range on Oleander project, a Class A, mixed-use community offering affordable housing, exclusively native trees, and an NGBS Silver rating. He is also leading the Coastal NC market through new and future projects, such as the $200m Gateway project in downtown Wilmington, and the 390-acre Indigo II project in Southport, amongst others.

McKay paid for his undergraduate degree by bartending, developing his innate good humor and customer-facing skills that nicely enhanced his gifted ability for project management. He is the chair of Wilmington Downtown Inc.’s Downtown Development Committee, serves on multiple committees at the local municipal level, and is actively involved in the Cape Fear Housing Coalition. He enjoys coaching T-Ball and Baseball for his son and daughter, surfing with his talented wife, and writing short stories influenced by his development career.
