Spencer Merritt

Partner/Development Director

Spencer is responsible for overseeing development operations for all projects in the Raleigh-Durham area, since joining East West Partners in 2019.

Spencer has over 15 years of experience in development and construction management, directly managing over 1.7 million square feet and $250 million of new construction throughout his career. He has worked on a variety of product types from Urban Mixed Use to Mission Critical Build-to-Suits.

Prior to moving back to North Carolina in 2016, Spencer lived and worked in Washington DC. There he served as Vice President of Development for FD Stonewater and as a Project Manager for HITT Contracting, Inc. Spencer graduated from UNC in 2006 with undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science, he received a MBA in 2012 with a Concentration in Real Estate from UNC Kenan-Flagler.

A native of Wilmington NC, Spencer lives in Raleigh with his wife Kat and two children.
